Materials
Hot-dip galvanised steel body with a soldered seam, brass rose and swan-neck spout. Hot-dip rather than electroplated: the coating is thick enough to survive a scrape, which is the entire life of a watering can.
Care
Empty it over winter — water left in a can freezes and will split a seam. The brass rose will block with limescale eventually; a soak in vinegar clears it in an hour.
